What is Mergio?
Mergio mixes the merging of 2048 with the placement of a block puzzle. Instead of sliding the whole board, you choose where each new block lands. Put a number next to its twin and the two merge into the next number up: 2 and 2 make 4, 4 and 4 make 8, and so on.
There are no levels to unlock. A game lasts until no block fits on the board, and the aim is to build the biggest tile and the highest score you can.
How a turn works
- You get three blocks. Each has one to four cells, and every cell of a block shows the same number: 2, 4 or 8.
- Drag the blocks onto the board in any order. They cannot be rotated.
- Equal neighbors merge, side by side or one above the other, but never diagonally. Cells of the same block do not merge with each other.
- After merging, tiles settle down and then to the right, which can bring new equal numbers together.
- When none of your blocks fits on the board, the game is over.
Chain merges
A merge can create a new number that merges again straight away. Every link in a chain doubles the points: the first merge scores its value, the second twice its value, the third four times, and so on.
Past 2048
2048 is a milestone, not the finish. Tiles keep merging to 4096, 8192 and beyond, with milestones all the way to 65,536.
Continue, scores and streaks
Once per game you can continue after a short ad, which clears two rows and two columns to give you room. Weekly and all-time leaderboards rank the best scores, and a daily reward with a streak bonus keeps the XP coming.
